Playing all day is hard work...

Mia doesn't like to take long naps at big girl school - I think she's afraid she'll miss out on something. She couldn't keep her eyes open long enough to get home yesterday - it's only about a 5 minute ride. I guess she just wore herself out playing!

I know I have been lame...

I haven't posted since July 5th. Sorry! The battery in my camera was dead and I just haven't recharged it. I know it's a bad excuse. Since the last time I posted we have been busy. We went to visit our family in Ware Shoals the weekend after the 4th. It was good to see everyone! Mia got to see her great-grandma, great uncle Jim, great aunt Mitzi, and great uncle Art. We came back with some delicious veggies from Mitzi and Art's garden and Mia had her first golf cart ride.
This past weekend Ryan was out of town playing in a golf tournament so Mia went to stay with my parents Friday night and Chasity, Adriann, and I went out to dinner and for a few drinks. It was fun to have some girlfriend time. We grilled out Sat. night with my parents. Sunday we took it easy and Jamie and Stephen came to visit. It was good to see them. It was their first time seeing Mia.
Mia is doing well. Her hair is getting so long and she chatters all of the time. She is so much fun!
I will charge my camera tonight and post some pictures this week! I promise.

8 months old on July 4th

Mia and Mimi at Chili's

It's hard to believe my baby girl is 8 months old! She has really come a long way in the last month. She has started crawling, pulling up, saying da-da, terrorizing Jojo and Gigi, grown enough hair for 2 piggies, and is almost cruising. We're so proud of her! She is so much fun and is becoming her own little person. Life is good!

An endless buffet of sand?!?

First words...

Not lovin' the ocean!
A family photo
Ready to go beachin'!
Well, Mia said her first words on Sunday - da da. Of course she doesn't realized what she's saying, but Ryan is thrilled to pieces! It's so cute!
Well, we had a good weekend at the beach. Mia took a dip in the ocean, but didn't like it. She did however love the taste of the sand. Me, daddy, Ryan, and Emily went fishing. We caught drum, flounder, and trout. It was fun! We ate fish one night and then went to Chili's in Shallotte the next night. We came back on Monday afternoon so that we could get some things done around the house. Mia returned to "big girl school" today. I'm sure she is having some separation anxiety - mommy too!
