Going to the beach...

Well, we're off to the beach after work! Hope everyone has a happy and safe 4th!

Oh, this is Mia's new favorite sleeping position - hiney in the air! Too cute!

Welcome Miss Savannah!

Christian, Lane, and Rylan's newest addition arrived on Saturday evening. Welcome to the world Savannah! We can't wait to meet you!

It's so hard to wake up from naptime!

Jammin'!

Mia can play some jammin' tunes on her learning table!

On the move....

I know it's hard to tell from a still picture, but this is Mia on the move. Her crawling is no longer contained to one room. If I walk out of the living room to the kitchen or laundry room she will find me. It's so cute! She also has become a holy terror to the dogs. She hunts them down forcing them to jump from one piece of furniture to another!

Two piggies!

Yes, Mia now has enough hair for 2 piggies!

A family picture...

Dinner at Miyami

Mischief!

Now that Mia is crawling, she is getting in to all kinds of mischief! This is her "I'm caught" look!

Mia still isn't sure about this whole grass thing....

Father's Day weekend

We had a busy Father's Day weekend. On Friday night, Chas and Trey had several couples over to their new house for a cook-out. It was so good to see everyone and Chas and Trey did a wonderful job hosting! On Saturday, me, mama and Emily took Mia to have her picture made. They're so cute. I can't wait for them to come back. Saturday night my parents, Ryan's parents, Emily and Brian and Ryan's grandmother came to Florence to go out to eat for Ryan's birthday. We went to Miyami. It was DELICIOUS!!! Mia slept through most of the entertaining, but she enjoyed nibbling on the Japanese food. Sunday we went to Bennettsville to go to church with my parents. Then Ryan, daddy, and Emily played golf while me, mama, and Mia relaxed and grocery shopped. It was a fun, but busy weekend. Hopefully, we can rest up this weekend.

Well, it's official....

Mia is now crawling everywhere and needs constant supervision! She scoots around pretty quickly too. Needless to say, we'll be baby-proofing the house this weekend - probably something we should've already done! I think watching the other kids crawl around daycare has encouraged her to start crawling. It's so cute to watch her. It's so hard to believe that she's old enough to crawl!

Prolonging bedtime...

Usually after Mia has her bath I bring her downstairs and rock her to sleep. It usually only takes 10 minutes or so to get her off to la la land. However, once in a blue moon she just isn't ready. Here are two pictures of her delaying her sleepy time....

Visiting in Santee

On Sunday we went to Santee to eat dinner with Ryan's family and to celebrate his birthday. Apparently, Miss Mia didn't remember most of his family and refused to let anyone hold her. I felt so bad because everyone just wanted to love on her, but she just wanted her mommy and daddy. I guess she was a little overwhelmed! She calmed down for a while and let her grandma and daddy play with her - she did remember them! Aren't these the cutest pictures! Oh, she doesn't have a shirt on because she was sweating. It was so hot Sunday!

Playing with Carly

Carly, Shelley, and Carl T. came over to visit on Saturday. Mia and Carly had fun playing together and it was good to see Shelley and Carl T.

Shopping at the beach

TGIF

Mia and I are headed back to the beach with Mimi and Pappy this weekend. Daddy has a bachelor party in Charleston. I'm sure he won't be able to have any fun for missing me and Mia and thinking about us! :-) We're going to go shopping at the outlets and mall tomorrow! Woohoo!!! Mia loves to shop!!! She has had a pretty good week. She has gotten her appetite back - she ate 1 1/2 jars of food last night and then drank 10 oz of milk. She acted like she was starving!
When I picked her up from daycare Tues. they had pulled her hair up on top of her head with a rubber band. It was so cute! It looked like a little sprout! She has enjoyed being outside with mommy and daddy at night watering the bushes and working in the yard. The little girls from across the street have come over every night while we're working to play with her. In a few years they might make good babysitters.
Hopefully, I'll have some really cute pics to post on Monday!
