Holding my bottle like a big girl!

First taste of cereal

Weekend of firsts....

Once again, Mia had another busy weekend! We took her to Target Friday night to see if she would like the Jumperoo. We sat her down in it and she just bounced and giggled! Unfortunately, Target didn't have any in stock. Hopefully, we'll get one this week. Mia was able to see both sets of grandparents this weekend. It was my mom's b'day and poor Mimi couldn't hold Mia on her birthday since she had been sick. It was tough for her!
Mia had her first taste of cereal this weekend. She seemed to like it. Her tongue thrust reflex is still pretty strong, but she managed to get down most of it. She also has started holding her bottle. She's having a little trouble tilting it back towards the end of it, but she gets it down. She is getting to be such a big girl!!!
Last night we had a little meltdown. I think her gums are hurting her. She started getting fussy around 6 and it came to a head around 9:00. She was screaming at the top of her lungs. I put some orajel on her gums and she finally calmed down and went to sleep. It was so pitiful. I haven't heard her cry like that since she got her shots. I cried right along with her.

Oops! One more pic!

It's been a while....

Well, our computer still isn't cooperating, so that's why it's taken me so long to post. Thankfully, everyone is feeling better. Mia is still battling the sniffles, but she is still a happy little thing! She has gotten into not wanting anyone to hold her but her mommy. While this makes me feel good, this is not a habit she needs to continue. It's so unlike her. She usually will let anyone hold her. Maybe it's just a phase she is going through.
She is doing more and more each day - always surprising us! She talks non-stop! It's so cute. She has some very important things to say! She had her first Valentines and daycare and came home w/lots of Valentines and candy for mommy and daddy to eat.
Here are some new pics of her: in her Baby Einstein learning seat, in her new outfit from Pattycakes, her new bloomers with her name on them, enjoying bath time and Mimi and Pappy's, and a pic of Mia and mommy before Jennifer Jones' baby shower.

Rough week...

Well, it's been a while since I've posted. Ryan has been sick with a stomach virus and I think I had a touch of it. Luckily, Mia was able to avoid getting sick. On top of that, our wireless internet got messed up and we have to sit hooked up to the router now. Ryan should have it fixed this week. I'll post some pictures then.
This weekend Ryan's mom came and spent the night Friday night so that we could go out to eat. We went to Michael's and ran some errands. Saturday we went to mama and daddy's to grill out and we spent the night so we could take Mia to church Sunday morning. She was so good in church. She was awake the whole time, but never misbehaved! I was so proud of her!
She is so much fun right now. She smiles all of the time and talks and talks. She makes the cutest noises! I can't wait to see what she'll be doing next!
