Look mommy! I'm doing it on my own!

Mia's still a little wobbly, but she is sitting up for long stretches at a time on her own now. It's amazing how much babies are able to do in the first 5 1/2 months of life!
Mia returned to "big girl school" yesterday after spending Monday and Tuesday with my parents. Apparently, Miss Mary and Miss Frankie weren't as attentive as Mimi and Pappy - they said she had a very fussy day. At home, when she holds her arms up to be picked up we oblige. That doesn't fly at big girl school. I guess being away from big girl school for 5 days and then having to go back was an adjustment. Maybe there is more to it....Mia hasn't slept that well the last 2 nights. She isn't running a fever, so maybe her gums are bothering her. I don't know....it would be easier if she could just tell me what's wrong. :-)
She is starting to do the cutest thing - kissing. It's a work in progress. She grabs your face (or hair) with both hands and lunges towards your lips with her mouth WIDE open. It's so sweet. Nothing in the world is better than her little wet, sloppy kisses!

Isn't it fun watching them meet their milestones!
So glad I got to take a peek at Mia yesterday. She is a cutie!
Sad we have to run into each other at Lowes to chat when we live a few blocks away for each other.
