4 More Days

I'm starting this blog at the advice of Christian so everyone can follow our journey on raising our daughter Mia. Mia was born on November 4, 2005 at 1:45 p.m. She weighed 8 lb 6 oz. Today is Dec. 15th and it's been an exciting and crazy and exciting 6 weeks. Mia now weighs over 11 pounds and gets more beautiful everday! She is now sleeping 6-7 hours a night before she wakes up for a bottle and then usually sleeps 3-4 more hours. She has been doing this for about 1 1/2 weeks now. I've very excited about this since I will be going back to work in 4 more days. It's going to be hard going back to work. I will miss her terribly, but I think it will put some structure back in our lives. I'm very fortunate though - my mom is taking off the month of January to keep her so she'll be almost 3 months old before she has to go to daycare.
We've actually gotten Mia on a pretty good routine - thanks to The Baby Whisperer. She eats 4-5 oz. every 3 hours and naps usually 45 min-1 hour during the 3 hours. She is a wonderful baby in the car and shopping. She usually sleeps the whole time or stares up at the lights in the stores. The only time gets fussy is in the evening. Usually 3-4 times a week she fights sleep at night - I mean really fights sleep. We usually just have to let her cry it out. Afterwards, she'll sleep like a log. I guess she's just venting her frustrations from the day! I can't complain though. I feel blessed to have such a wonderful and perfect baby!
